Bali Supplier Check · An Indeavour service

Know who you’re paying before you wire the deposit.

You found a supplier in Bali for furniture, rattan, wood, décor or jewelry. The photos are beautiful, the price is right, and they want 50% upfront. Before you send it, we go and look: is the company real, is it allowed to export, does the workshop exist, are the certificates genuine. You get a clear written report in 48 hours. Then you decide.

What we check

Seven questions every importer should ask. Answered with evidence.

01

Does the company legally exist?

A brand name and an Instagram page are not a company. We find the registered legal entity behind the name you were given, when it was created, and who owns it.

You learn: the exact legal name to put on your contract and bank transfer.

02

Is it licensed for what it sells you?

Indonesian companies are registered for specific activities. A “furniture manufacturer” may be registered only as a small trader, or for something else entirely.

You learn: whether they make, or resell, and whether they can export in their own name.

03

Has it exported before?

“We ship to Europe all the time” is easy to say. We look for signs of real export activity: registrations, forwarder relationships, past foreign buyers, the ability to issue export documents.

You learn: whether you would be their first foreign customer.

04

Are the certificates real?

Timber legality, FSC, fumigation, ISO: we check each certificate number with the issuing body and confirm it was issued to this company, and is still valid.

You learn: which documents you can rely on at customs, and which are borrowed or expired.

05

Do the premises exist?

We confirm the workshop, warehouse or showroom at the address given. On the Plus plan, one of us drives there, meets someone, and takes dated photos for you.

You learn: whether the production capacity you were shown is theirs.

06

Can they meet your import rules?

Wood into the EU or US, treated packing into Australia, metal declarations for jewelry: each market asks for specific paperwork. We check whether this supplier can actually produce it.

You learn: what to demand before the deposit so the container is not stuck at your port.

07

Any red flags?

Bank account in a personal name. Invoice name different from the legal name. Addresses that do not match. Photos found on another supplier’s website. Pressure to pay in full.

You learn: the specific warning signs in your case, and how to structure payment around them.

What you receive

A report you can act on, and a link you can share.

One verdict on the first line, a scorecard of the seven checks, then the evidence behind each. Every report lives at a permanent, time-stamped address on indeavour.co that you can forward to your partner, your bank or your insurer. It cannot be edited after it is issued.

How it works

Four steps. Forty-eight hours.

01

You send us what you have

The supplier’s name, website or Instagram, the address and phone they gave you, any certificates or invoices they sent, and what you intend to buy. Five minutes. If you are unsure whether a check is even needed, use the free question form below first.

02

We check our own records

Indeavour is a trading company in Bali. If the supplier you name is one we work with, we tell you before starting and refund you, so you always know where we stand.

03

We verify, in Bahasa Indonesia, on the ground

Registrations, licences, certificate issuers, addresses, phone calls made in the supplier’s own language. On the Plus plan we also visit the premises and hold a recorded call with the supplier on your behalf.

04

You receive the report

Within 48 hours of payment: a written report with a one-line verdict, the seven-check scorecard, the evidence, and practical conditions such as how to structure the payment. Plus a permanent link to share.

Unused checks do not roll over

Prefer to pay by bank transfer in USD or EUR? Ask for an invoice and we start the check as soon as the transfer is confirmed. All prices are per supplier checked, all-inclusive, no hidden fees. If we cannot verify a supplier at all (for example the company does not exist), you still receive a report saying exactly that: it is often the most valuable one.

Why us, and one thing you should know

We live here. We also trade here.

01

A registered Indonesian company, in Bali

Indeavour Capital Venture PT is a foreign-investment company registered in Bali. We are not a directory, not a marketplace and not a call centre abroad. The people doing the checks speak Bahasa Indonesia and can be at a workshop in Gianyar or Tabanan the same day.

02

We know what a customs officer will ask

Our daily business is exporting Indonesian goods with full documentation. We know which certificate matters for which market, which ones get faked, and which questions make a doubtful supplier go quiet.

03

Verified facts, not opinions

Every line of a report points to something we saw: a registry extract, an issuer confirmation, a dated photo, a call. Where we could not verify something, the report says “not verifiable” rather than guessing.

Our independence rule

Indeavour buys and sells Indonesian goods. That means, in rare cases, a supplier you ask us to check could be one we already work with, or compete with. So we commit to three things: we never recommend our own suppliers, or anyone else, inside a report; before starting any check we compare the supplier against our own records and tell you if there is any relationship; and if there is, we refund your payment in full and you decide whether you still want the report.

A report is due diligence, not a guarantee. It tells you what was true on the day we checked, with evidence, so that you can decide with your eyes open.

Ask us first, free

Not sure a check is worth it? Ask.

Tell us about the supplier and the order. We reply within one business day with an honest view: whether a check makes sense, which plan fits, or whether what you already have is enough.

This is also where you ask for an invoice to pay by bank transfer, or mention a supplier outside Bali.

Questions

What importers actually ask.

Will the supplier know I am checking them?+
On the Standard plan, no: everything is done from public registers, issuing bodies and our own network. On the Plus plan we visit and call the supplier, and we present ourselves openly as verifying on behalf of a buyer, without naming you unless you ask us to. Serious suppliers welcome it.
What if the company turns out not to exist?+
You receive the report anyway, with the verdict “do not proceed” and the evidence. That is the report that saves you the most money. We do not charge extra and we do not refund it either: the work was done.
Can you check suppliers outside Bali?+
Yes for the Standard plan, anywhere in Indonesia: the registers are national. Site visits on the Plus plan are included within Bali; for Java, Lombok and other islands we quote travel separately. Ask us first and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Is this the same as a factory audit?+
No. An audit measures quality systems and takes days. A supplier check answers a simpler question: is this a real, licensed, exporting business that I can safely pay? Most small importers need the second before they ever need the first. If you need a full audit, we will say so.
Can you also find me a supplier?+
Not inside a report: our independence rule means a report never recommends anyone. Indeavour does source and export Indonesian goods as a separate business; if you would like to talk about that, contact us through the main site and we keep the two conversations clearly apart.
How do I pay?+
By card through our secure checkout, in USD. Or by bank transfer in USD or EUR against an invoice: use the question form and choose “send me an invoice”. The 48-hour clock starts when payment is received.
